Right, having done my Chief Bridesmaid thing its now time to sort myself out and get on my Christmas mission - getting another stone and a half off so that I can enjoy the Christmas binge :)
We were given an exercise bike by a couple of friends which is much better for my back than the treadmill as its much lower impact, plus I can feel like I'm achieving something when I use that, rather than the treadmill which knackers me if I do more than about 10 minutes on it!
So far this week I've managed:
10km in 27 mins
10 km in 25 mins
11 km in 27 mins
So a total of 31 km which is 19.26 miles - looking at how far that'd get me I'm feeling pretty good :)
We've had a really relxaed week this week as well, eaten breakfast out twice, our local carvery has started doing brekkies so we've visited that which was yummy, had several takeaways and enjoyed a yummy pizza hut with friends. So as of tomorrow we're back on it (back to work BOO) - I'm thinking about trying a fish week at some point, I've heard of a few people have really good results with that so might give it a go.
We've also bought some body analyser scales so will be noting the changes on those as well!

Another weigh in down!
After a couple of bad weeks I'm hoping I'm back on the bus (as my SW consultant would say!). I would LOVE to have 2.5 stone off for my sisters wedding next Saturday, however I'm not totally convinced I'm going to get there, I have to get 4lbs off this week but you know what, thats do-able.
I haven't had a great couple of weeks food wise, my sisters 21st birthday bbq was yummy, but SO bad food wise, munching on potato wedges, burgers, bread and crisps is not the ideal way to get those pounds off. That said I only put on half a pound which I was really happy with, and then this week I managed to get 1.5 off. That was despite a chinese, fish and chips and a massive amount of pick and mix at a quiz! At least we didn't win the quiz though because the prize was a massive box of choccies!
Next week at SW we've got the Woman of the Year final, and a food tasting session so might make my orange custard tarts that I found in the mag again, went down really well last time and totally yummy! I'm also thinking about trying some new recipies this week, we've got really lazy with what we eat lately and I think thats part of why the weight loss has slowed down. Going to get back to the old favourites like pizza topped chicken, spinach curry and give some new ones a go as well... Can only be good :)

Another baaaad weekend!
Right hopefully that was the last of the really bad weekends until the wedding of the year in just under a months time...
Sisters hen do - it was never going to be a good weekend, with a pamper day (and a large buffet) and then an indian followed by a night out it was pretty much guaranteed to be calorie laden but fun! I do tend to go by the idea that I have to live my life while loosing weight, and while I may have put a bit on from the previous week, overall I have lost weight. I'm lighter now than I was a month ago, 2 months ago etc... And that keeps me on track when it'd be very easy to just say stuff it and give up.
One bonus was that I finally had enough confidence to wear a dress for a night out - and no one fell over in horror at the fact my legs were on display! The last dress I wore in public was my wedding dress!
What didn't help was a fantastic girly day yesterday involving a pizza hut buffet, and then an unexpected pub visit which ended up in a bottle of wine and 2 pitchers of Woo Woo!
But hey ho, you can't live your life for your diet, you have to enjoy life sometimes. I'll be getting right back on it today and this week shouldn't be as difficult as the last couple have been, theres only a bbq to get through and I usually loose fairly well on them as all the meat is, in effect, grilled. My plan is to get in a couple of good looses over the next couple of weeks and be a good looking bridesmaid!

Week 23 weigh in
I always knew that this week was going to be a difficult one, and was completely stunned when I only put on 2.5lbs, essentially cancelling out last weeks loss, but I'm happy with that. I always try to think that I still weigh less now, even with a loss, that I did a month ago - it keeps me motivated even when I have a gain.
This week isn't going to be as difficult as last week, but its certainly not going to be easy. My sisters hen do is on Saturday - a buffet and an indian meal all mean lots of syns, especially as my favourite is a korma with lots of poppadums and naan bread!
So I've done some quick calculations this evening and I reckon approx 30 syns should do it, meaning I need to stick to around 10 syns a day for the rest of the week to keep within limits. So its lots of fruit for me this week, and lots of salad. My aim is 3lbs off this week, and another 3 off the week after which would take me to my 2.5st award which I'd be happy with. I could then maintain that loss until after my sisters wedding (need to fit into the bridesmaids dress!) and then get back on it with a mission to try and get to 4st before christmas, and also tone up lots!
Well its a plan at least!

Here we go...
You join me as I am 2stone 4lbs into my weight loss journey, and hopefully not even halfway through my efforts. I've just had a seriously off plan week and have decided that keeping my journey somewhere other than my head might help a bit more - the more people I am answering to the better in my opinion, it makes it harder to justify that extra biscuit/bit of cake!
I started this journey back in February when I finally plucked up the courage to go along to my local Slimming World group, rather than looking at the website 3 times a day and thinking that it sounded like just my kind of plan! I had multiple reasons for wanting to loose weight (don't we all!) but the biggest reason of all for me was desperately wanting to be able to look in the mirror and not wonder how my husband could bring himself to touch me! Please bear in mind that he has NEVER said anything of the sort, and in fact has always told me he loves me no matter what - but when you don't feel good in yourself you do start to wonder how other people can think you do look good.
I also had recently bought a pair of really nice jeans that I loved, in a size I thought I'd slip into no problem and then had the humiliation of them not even going past my thighs, as well as my younger sisters wedding in the early autumn and I was determined not to be the fat bridesmaid!
So I went along to my local group, run by the wonderful Angie. I was pretty much terrified as I walked into the hall but after having the plan explained and realising that everyones got to start somewhere I discovered inside myself a fairly steely determination that this WOULD be the time I did it, unlike my previous weight loss attempts that saw me loose a maximum of a stone on a diet of grilled chicken and plain jacket potato and then put it all back on the second I branched back into 'real food'!
The rest is pretty much history, its been hard work some times resisting when other people are getting their takeaway curries but I always think to myself 'I want to be slim more than I want a curry/cookie/cake' and it seems to work. I find the half stone awards massively motivating as well, I keep my latest three on my fridge to remind me how hard I've worked, along with my Slimmer of the Month, Club 10 and Slimmer of the week (when I get it!). My husband is completely wonderful and has joined in as well, loosing a stone and a half and is now only 4lbs away from his personal target - we keep each other on the straight and narrow, when one of us says 'Sod it shall we get a takeaway' about 80% of the time the other one will be one step ahead and say no, or already have a healthy dinner planned, or in the oven!
I'll sign off this post with a quick run down of my weekly weigh ins just to get you up to speed on how I've got here, and what my journey has looked like:
Week 1: one day when I'm feeling brave I'll write my start weight here!
